Until Death Do Us Part
They were married by the Justice Of The Peace.
There was no elaborate ceremony.
My mother wore no flowing wedding gown.
The wedding vows were exchanged in front of two family friends as witnesses.
The vows included no statement of death extinguishing the flames of love the two shared.
My father died in 1967.
Love is forever and death cannot put out a flame that burns so brightly.
